This year I decided, well Grace decided, that I would make the girls their Halloween costumes. Grace, along with about four of her friends decided that they all wanted to be genies. So, I made costumes for Grace and Molly and Gracie's friend, Allison. Her Mama doesn't sew. I spent most days while the kids were in school durning October sewing. My house was a pit, but they looked super cute. All of this ment that we had to trick or treat together. We had lots of fun!
Before we headed out, everyone came over for an early dinner. Which was delish. Jared made pulled pork. Yum.
And we had some YUMMY blue cheese potatoe salad.
We hit the hood halloween parade where none of our costumes won any of the contests. WHAT?? Can you believe it? They even made up a little dance!!
I guess they were cute enough to get their picture taken though...
The grown ups..
After we didn't win any prizes, we headed to the LaBelle's for more photo ops and candy. All of us before we hit the road.
Kiddos. Luke went with his friend Kyle this year. Imagine all black. SO creative :)
My girlies :) Hope everyone had a super fun Halloween!
And it's not ours :) One of my very good friends....who I met ONLINE while we lived in Maine when our girls, Grace and Caroline (who are now 9 and almost 4th graders), were little babies has her house here in FL for rent. I wish she was moving back into it, but they decided they'd rather spend a few more years in Hawaii! What's up with that?? Oh well, I guess they'll get back here soon enough. Here is a link to the listing on craigslist. Please contact Bob Grismer at John Gray Realty, Inc. (904) 278-3293 or email REDVAIR@aol.com if you're interested or please pass along the information if you know anyone who's interested in renting a house in the Orange Park/Fleming Island/Middleburg area.

Last week my super terrific parents took my family to Disney World. We all had a great time. We have decided, though, that we're happy that we've all had the chance to visit Disney World, we're not sure it's the place for us to visit every year.
The first day we hit the Magic Kingdom.
Doesn't everyone look so excited. Minus Luke, of course. He can't smile.
Waiting while Dad decides which way to go first!
The tea cups. Jared doesn't spin well. So, he watched. Once again, notice how HAPPY Luke looks. And some where along the line, Molly decided it's best to FAKE smile.
Really the only thing Molly wanted to do was see a couple of princesses.
The next day the girls got Princess makeovers. Molly likie, Grace, not so sure. Can you tell.
Isn't she so beautiful? :)
And my favorite part of the trip! Dinner!
Grace wanted to take a picture of Molly, but she was being a stinker :)
Notice that the only time Luke looks happy is when he's next to his Gramma?
The kiddies with the folks!
Till next time! I guess that could be a while, but maybe you'll be surprised!
I'm actually capable of posting to my blog on a regular basis!! I'm starting to think NOT! I'm trying to figure out if I want to keep it here or try something new, sooooo please excuse the appearance till I figure out what I want to do! Thanks!
It will be on the market on Monday! Phew!! We're listing it with Tim Dunham. If anyone in Maine is looking for a new house, I have one for you! Here are some pictures of the upstairs.
A bedroom that I'm using as an office/sewing room.
The little think we bought at the unfinished furniture place. Jared painted it and I got the pull from anthropology. It turned out cute, I think :)
I had Friday play/wine date at my house yesterday and my good friend Jen suggested that I use her chair that was her Grandmothers for this corner! I've borrowed it a couple of times for pictures and it looks perfect in the corner! She was right! Thanks, Jen!
The upstairs bathroom finished! I think the house turned out great! Its going to be hard to leave it now that its finally finished! I really love it.
I'd love to hear what you think!! Here is a link to an album with pictures of the whole house. And feel free to tell all of your friends who are looking for a new house in Maine that I have one for sell!
I used to blog here! LOL! I bet no one comes here anymore....I woundn't. I think four months is the longest I've ever gone without blogging something! We've had a busy few months. Jared got back the beginning of December. A week of so later we headed to Missouri for the holidays and spent tons of time in the car driving all over the state. It was a bit much, but we survived! At the beginning of January, Jared and I headed to FL to check out the area and see where we want to live when we move. My parents gave us a couple of nights in the Casa Monica in St. Augustine as a Christmas gift. It was awesome. We stayed with my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Derold the rest of the time. We didn't see them as much as I would of liked, but we looked at so many houses while we were there...we pretty much looked from morning till night. I got to see one of my very best friends, Kim, everyday that we were there! I think we're going to live closer to each other than we have every before, which I'm very excited about!!
Since we've been home, we've been working every day to finish the house....I know, I always say we're almost done....but really, I think we are. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, this baby will be FOR SALE! The downstairs bathroom didn't really get a full remodel. We decided to give it a face lift instead of all new everything. Here are a couple of before pictures...
So, the face lift....We replaced the formica counter top with a marble one with an under mount sink and a new faucet. It looks great. Instead of replacing the base cabinet, we painted it black and put new pulls on the doors. We replaced the sconces and put up a new mirror. Jared replaced the most of the baseboards. The paint color is a light grey and I decided on the color because of the color of the veins that run through the marble. I made the curtains (out of a shower curtain...long story) and the new shower curtain. So, here is the "new" downstairs bathroom! What do you think??
I think if I talk about our house progress on the blog, it will motivate me to accomplish something around here everyday. It's taking so much longer than I thought it would to finish everything...even working on it everyday as much as we can with three kids and Jared having to work. What's up with that?? I don't understand why he has to work. KIDDING!! LOL!
All the kids enjoyed apple picking this year! Even Luke. I'm sad to think that this will be the last year that we get to do this....I don't think there are lots of apple orchards in Florida, but maybe I'm wrong! Maybe we can go orange picking instead!!
Here are a few pictures from the day.
Last year Luke and Jared started a little game...it involves throwing apples at each other. No thanks!
Moo with Jared lying in wait behind her. I think this is right before Luke knocked him in the head :)
Got married the first weekend in August. I've been swamped! I need another day of daycare for Miss Moo. I haven't posted any weddings from this summer and I've had several. So for now, here are a few from Emily and Jon's wedding. They were awesome and photos were important to them so they allowed several hours before the ceremony for their photos. It was awesome!
And I love this one! The Sailor slapped her dress with his sword and said "welcome to the Navy, Ma'am" I love Emily's expression!
